about me

My name is Al Rifat, originally from Bangladesh and now residing in Buffalo, NY. After moving to New York City at 8 years old, I briefly attended Pace University before pursuing my education at the University at Buffalo. Currently, I am immersed in an internship at Optum, focusing on the development of internal tools.

My passion lies in contributing to projects that make a meaningful difference in people's lives, whether it's for companies, developers, or specific communities. Finding fulfillment in the diverse challenges and opportunities each project presents, I approach technology with an adaptable mindset. I don't limit myself to a specific programming language but believe in an engineer's strength of adaptability. Regardless of the tech stack, I am committed to comprehensively understanding the system, prioritizing a deep understanding over relying solely on prior expertise. This approach enables me to navigate diverse projects with confidence and contribute effectively to their success.

Beyond the world of computer science, I indulge in various hobbies such as traveling, volleyball, and gaming. As self-proclaimed coffee enthusiast, I proudly enjoy my coffee with tons of cream.

Lastly, feel free to reach out via email for any work-related matters — I'm always here to connect and collaborate.
